The Rhoda Youth Team has continued its community community outreach by visiting selected primary schools in Ikorodu Division as part of the organisation’s ongoing Rhoda Youth Scholarship and Intervention Initiative.
The team visited some primary schools where pupils were provided with educational materials and their parents 25kg of rice as support for the benefitting pupil’s families recently.
Also, Rhoda Centre supported a school with white marker boards.

Asiwaju Rotimi Erogbogbo, Chairman, Rhoda Youth Centre, said that the gesture is to ensure that the pupils are better equipped for learning and also to support their parents at home so as to ensure the benefiting pupils’ attendance in schools.
“During the tour, the first stop was St. Saviour Anglican Primary School, Igbaga, where two beneficiaries of the Rhoda scholarship program received essential educational support materials. Each pupil was provided with a school bag, 12 exercise books, pencils, school uniforms, shoes, and socks to ensure they are better equipped for their academic journey.
“In addition, their parents received 25kg bags of rice, generously sponsored by Mayor Apanishile, to support household welfare and encourage continued and consistent school attendance.

Beyond scholarship recipients, four additional pupils were also provided with new school uniforms as part of the Rhoda Centre’s broader intervention efforts aimed at addressing urgent student needs identified during the visit.
The team proceeded to African Bethel Primary School, Erikorodo, where two more pupils benefited from the same comprehensive educational support package.
At African Bethel Primary School, Maya, our intervention focused on improving the learning environment: we installed white marker boards in four classrooms to complement existing government provisions, thereby enhancing teaching and learning experiences for both pupils and teachers,” Erogbogbo said.

“This outreach reflects our unwavering commitment to supporting indigent pupils, promoting access to quality education, and strengthening communities through impactful, people-centered initiatives,” he added.
Asiwaju Erogbogbo assured that Rhoda Youth Centre remains dedicated to transforming lives — one child, one school, one community at a time.
Recall that over 100 pupils were provided with essential learning materials across schools in Ikorodu Division last year. Each of the pupils were provided with school bags, uniforms, 12 pieces of 40 leaves exercise books, one 20 leaves exercise book for drawing, two pairs of white sucks, a pair of sandals and five pieces of pencils.
